The Child Health Institute (CHI) is a collaborative research effort comprising faculty and staff from the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, and Public Health & Community Medicine at the University of Washington. We are one of the few research centers in the United States devoted exclusively to the study of the access, cost-effectiveness, quality and outcomes of health care for children.
To improve the health and health care of children by: generating a sound evidence base through interdisciplinary collaboration incorporating public health, biomedical, informatics and social science approaches disseminating this new knowledge to policy-makers, health-care organizations, providers, patients, and parents
